The YAP Program is an experiential process for the Individual Construction of Knowledge, utilizing a sequenced process of challenging experiential learning programs aimed at the social capital developmental stage of learners. One can either start the process in grade three or four and concludes in grade eleven;- The YAP program has been established to ensure stable alignment with a practical model and sequenced experiential processes with the children’s development capacity per school.
- Transferring these concepts are divided into three distinct phases directly related to the child’s developmental stage;
- Early childhood development (grade 3-6): We focus on play, and an introduction to aid the development of appropriate vocabulary of the self, others and our relationship with our environment
- Intermediate phase (grade7-9): Defining and internalizing the concepts emotional intelligence, understanding of the self, and interaction with others is the focus of this intermediate stage of personal growth
- FET Phase (grade 10-11): Application of accumulated Learning in a real, realistic environment
- The YAP program is aligned with the school curriculum and is customized to fit the philosophy of each individual school. Some schools already take their children through a continuous process of development as a long term strategy.
- The process ensures that the learners are challenged with different experiences on a yearly basis, and on a level that compare with the learners level of development.
- Therefore, when the individual has completed the YAP program, they are ready to go out into the world, equipped with applicable knowledge to be able to make the right decisions in life.
- Chameleon has different venues to run specific programs to suit the specific needs for these different experiential learning interventions.
